Incidental Exercise is a combination of habitual movements you perform from day to day and a series of more structured regular exercise that can be incorporated into everyday life. As we know, keeping active every day is integral to a healthy lifestyle and is a real key to sustained fat loss. Below is a list of ways incidental exercise can be incorporated into everyday life:
· Parking your car further away from your destination to facilitate a greater amount of walking.
· Seek alternate means of transport? Ride a bike or walk instead of driving short distances!
· Avoid elevators/escalators and take the stairs, go around the park rather than through it.
· If you have a desk job, take breaks to stand and stretch, walk to the printer, complete posture resetting stretching, perform small exercises routines within your workspace in order to increase blood flow, energy and metabolism.
· Be actively involved! Don’t just supervise your children; join in! Run with your dog!
· Set daily/weekly routines: walk to get the newspaper/bread/milk.
· Complete domestic duties that you keep putting off.
The more active you are, the greater your energy output is; resulting in weight loss and increased health! At The EP Group we will not only show you how you should complete structured exercise, we will show you the benefits associated with not thinking you’re exercising through ‘Incidental Exercise’
